Great calls against the Chargers. Just proves how corrupt and paid you really are. I hope you receive some nasty threats because you deserve each and every one of them. Fucking assshole.

This is Not over
I think I have a special place in my heart for this one because it was my first. It hurt a little bit, but I got over it, and then laughed with great peals of joy at the literary, or maybe cinematic closing THIS IS NOT OVER. I scrolled down to look for more text, but alas. It seems our author lied.
Well I guess we know what Ed would do.... blow an obvious call and allow a travesty to occur. This man should be suspended indefinitely and stripped of his head referee duties.
Wow. Dude. What say we also throw him in jail and give him a public caning. It’s not a a coincidence I think that after this letter, the whole thing went to hell. It’s like as time passed, the Chargers fans collectively lost their minds, and began a sort of memory dysmorphia, blowing this incident into a scandal on a global scale. Dude. It’s football.
<snip>...All i have to say in closing is shame on all of you who enable the destruction of this once honest sport that was all about talent and athleticism. You know who you are, you know what you do, and what you don't know is you will pay for your sins when you face the Lord Jesus on Judgment Day as we all will! Because I'm not perfect and sin too I only have prayer to offer for your redemption.
Woah woah woah. I had to snip out the fifteen paragraphs on the morality of man lest google start caching this as a philosophy site. But really, I’m a good Christian girl like the rest of ya, and I find it hard to believe that on that great day when the Lord separates the goats from the sheep .... HE’S GOING TO ASK ED HOCHULI ABOUT A BOTCHED CALL AT THE CHARGERS GAME. People please. We’ve got to get a hold of ourselves.
And here’s a non-hate mail that makes a brilliant, overlooked point that I will enlargen and bolden:
Let him know that the majority of us know his integrity and that he's the BEST! I can't imagine how badly he must feel. But EVERYONE makes mistakes. Even if the rules were different and San Diego could've been given the ball, that doesn't mean they would have won that game.
Thank you, and God bless. The call was not made on a touchdown play. So the assumption that had the call been correct they would have automatically won the game is...ERRONEOUS. Thank you reader, for making my day.
And finally, my favorite, since it marks my first PERSONAL hate mail, and from a real even keeled guy who’s got it all in perspective.
Sorry pal, Ed Hochuli screwed up big time and all the apologizing in the world will not make up for it. And to suggest that we should just forget what happened is like forgetting Ken Lay and his indiscretions at Enron or Richard Nixon for "not being a crook". At the beginning of the game I smiled when I saw Ed out there because I like him, but Ed should be fired.... now. It's what happens when you make a big mistake in any other profession and to suggest any different just reduces the credibility of all referees everywhere.
So ya, just continue to hock your shirts in your feeble attempt to exploit the situation, but don't for a moment believe that someone, anyone, should not be held accountable for their mistakes.
You read it right. This man compared NFL refereeing to ENRON and WATERGATE.
You guys, I love football to an almost fetishy degree, but at some point, we’re all going to have to realize that it is a game for children, and luckily, a few hundred guys get to play it on a national stage for a paycheck. It is entertainment, nothing more. My father, God love him, has glaucoma brought about by the 89 Cubs. His heart rate and blood pressure were so high for so long that summer that his doctor blamed a baseball team for his lifelong eye disease. Get a hold of yourselves. Hug your dog, Kiss your mom, shelter a hurricane family, put $20 in savings, register to vote. But always remember, Ed Hochuli knows when you are sleeping.
He knows when you’re awake.
He knows when your arm’s in a throwing motion
AND he knows when he’s made a mistake.
I forgive him. You will forgive him too. Now lets get out there and play football.
